Our final concert in White Center, the birthplace of Richard Hugo, was amazing. I’d first like to give credit to 4Culture for supporting the event. So often attempts to broaden the audience for the arts fall short, but this was exactly as it should be and as I hoped it would be. We had a full house, ran out of CDs and chairs, and a wonderful concert. And in all that it was clear to me that at least a third of the audience didn’t have any idea what to expect musically, nor did they know who I was, or Tim Young or Ron Miles or Sara Schoenbeck and so on. But they really connected, and I met some interesting folks, long time residents of White Center, long time fans of Richard Hugo, or both. Skerik and Steve Moore joined us for new tunes, which went great! A perfect ending to an awesome tour.
